Personally my favorite Director is Michael Mann. I was drawn in way back with The Last of the Mohicans. Then Heat. And then the closer was Collateral.(One of the only good movies with Tom Cruise). Even though Miami Vice was initially disappointing, the more I watched it the more I loved it. Mann's cinematic style and use of music to manipulate the mood of scenes is simply brilliant. Looking forward to PUBLIC ENEMIES on July 1st!!!!! Guy Ritchie's style and creativity, Ridley Scott's precise and riveting action flicks, and David Fincher's raw and powerful story telling, all deserve honourable mentions!!!!!!!!
